Story still sounds fake.
Where you trying to make a usable Kindle out of a blacklisted one by using 'erase all'?

That is about the only thing which could result in your posts.

PS:
It is logically impossible to 'beat' Amazon's blacklist system, you are wasting your time.

Does it mean the S/N is embedded in the diag kernel/partition?

It is the stock bootloader. I never try to flash any firmware yet before soft-bricked.

Ah, not likely.
You where running the wrong (or modified) bootloader when you pressed: "Erase MMC".
That process is the only likely way that you could have used to re-flash the bootloader in its protected storage area ("Erase All/MMC/whatever" does that for you - copies the executing bootloader to flash).

That and the message quoted is what tells us most of the story you are trying to hide.

No, I mean:
You want hints about how the system works, ask Amazon, not here.

To avoid any confusion. Here are the steps to brick my kindle
1) Jail break it.
2) SSHed my kindle and install some programs (official busybox for arm), change boot logo and try to add custom languages.
3) Restart, then it can't open any books. Usbnet never start again
4) TTL and boot into diag partition, mount root partition and remove the login lock.
5) Restart, then it stucks at bootloader and said cannot access the flash chip

I never do "Erase MMC" or use custom bootloader. Why I have to hide in case I want to revive my kindle? Amazon can't blame me.

2 - all at once or did you make incremental changes?
4 - root partition of which operating system?
4 - did you remove the changes to the 'main' system you had made at this point?

= = = =

None of the information given indicates that you need the diags kernel, the diags operating system, nor a complete system image.

So you are hiding information from us for your own purposes,
or
Don't have a clue what your doing,
or
Have a hardware failure, not related to anything you have done.

My question to the OP is how do you know you need full image?
That just doesn't sound right.

He said he needs it so he can extract the two pieces he does need. That full image will contain the large userstore (shared USB drive partition), which seems strange to request. That full image will also contain the PRIVATE SETTINGS and DEVICE IDENTIFICATION and AMAZON STORE AUTHENTICATION data, which seems downright suspicious considering how we have already warned in another thread (this discussion is spread across multiple threads) of the potential for identity theft and getting the donor's kindle blacklisted by amazon.

In that case, it seems that a person would only need to ask for the two pieces they needed. Not the full set.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
So what I attributed to a strange translation in the original post or thread was just a ploy. Especially since he asked in the main forum.

More suspiciously, he moved his request to IRC where he found a potential donor willing to give him a full image (despite prior warnings):
Quote:
Moderator Notice: It would be astonishingly unwise for anyone to send you a full system image. This would give you access to all their personal information, and would get both their and your Kindle blacklisted. [...]

2) All at once
4) partition 1, should be the "main"
4) I plan to restart and login into the main and undo my changes, but maybe I should do it during boot in diag kernel

The topic is diag kernel and partition only. You probably still talking about another locked post.
