Yeah, but I suspect that's not a successful strategy in my case, tempting though the notion is!

On other fronts, I'm seeing a lot of $11.99 nominations, which seems to have missed the sweet spot. Fine for those who are really interested, but a daunting expenditure for the lukewarm. Some are long 'uns, too. Yet Nothing But Blue Skies, which is short, light, summery and only six bucks has been left to languish. Ah, well. You can lead a horse to water, etc.

I'm also going to point out that the fully-nominated City of Djinns is a steal at only $4.99.

Yes, Overdrive availability or inexpensive (<$5) is very important to me, so I won't nominate/second unless it meets that criteria, mostly. Of course Overdrive availability varies.

I'm going to nominate Something New/Something Fresh, the first of P.G. Wodehouse's Blandings Castle novels. I can't imagine anything more delightful than a Wodehouse summer read. Something New is the original title of its 1915 US publication; it was published the following year in the UK as Something Fresh. As the date indicates, it's public domain in the US and thus a free read for us Yanks.

Just as an FYI to anyone, the PD Wodehouse Kindle books and the $2.99 Whispersync audio books are really a terrific deal.
