That is odd. 5.7.3.1 shows as only available for the PW3 on Amazon's firmware download page.

Fw 5.7.3.1 is PW3 only. So you either have fw 5.7.3 on your PW2 or you don't have PW2

but I can't find whether that means it's a P3.

I got it for Christmas last year so maybe it is. I already had the first PW so maybe I just assumed this was the second. Even better, if so!

Redacted the serial number. Please don't give that away to people who might use it for evil.

We only need the first 4 or 6 digits.

I went to download the manual update for the Paperwhite 2 (7th Gen) and it's showing 5.7.4 as the most recent version of firmware available, not 5.7.3 which this thread mentions.

Does anyone know if a jailbreak and screensaver hack survives the 5.7.4 update?
