Doitsu is correct. Epubcheck will not barf on & in dc:title tags so there must be some other issue in the opf that is causing a problem.

Thanks to you both again, and I apologise for wasting your time.
I have a template ebook which I use when designing ebooks for the MR library. I validated it again against EPUB-Checker, and it validated. I then put Daphis & Chloe in the content.opf file, recompiled the ebook, and it validated. I opened it with the Sony desktop reader, and at the top of each page it showed the title as Daphnis & Chloe. So my previous comments were incorrect. |
