PW 2 firmware was not there for download

Went back about 2 minutes later and it was there

It is updated, eg this is the Voyage page on Amazon UK.

I now have both my voyage and PW2 updated, I am not seeing any difference yet.

Given the comment, I wouldn't expect any visible changes. It's probably behind-the-scenes stuff that's changed.

Yep my PW2 seems to be faster at page turns, and opening books. The screen on the voyage seems cleaner with the lighting even more even.
Could just me but that is what it seems to be.

I believe the Bookerly font is darker than it was. That maybe what I am seeing with the screen being cleaner. I noticed it also on the PW2

What version did you update from? 5.7.2.1 made Bookerly darker, to my mind.

I was on the latest before this update but Bookerly seemed light to me in it. It seems darker and cleaner type to me now. And it is that way on both the voyage and the PW2. Like you say that may be just me looking for a difference.

I'm certainly not saying you're wrong - they may very well have increased the font weight again. It'll be interesting to see what other people think.

Personally I'm going to wait a couple of weeks before upgrading. I'm not brave enough to be an "early adopter" of new firmware

I have been a beta tester for so long for Microsoft and Linux that it just come natural for me to update early. This seems to be only basic foundation update. It seems like the press buttons work smoother and the page turns are also smoother cleaner and maybe a little faster. And to me on the voyage the fonts seem to almost jump off the page at you. But on the PW2 the fonts are a little cleaner and page turns a little faster

I checked with captured screenshots on my Kindle Voyage compare between 5.7.3 and 5.7.2.1, and found out that no differences in fonts rendering between these two version.
