Some A/V have an option (what to scan) to check removable drives since those used to be one way for the bad guys to get in.
Personally, I would leave this enabled IF the device is network connected for other than just books (dedicated reader)

I use Avast.

I don't particularly mind if it always does an initial analysis at every update, or what have you. I just mentioned it because it was a difference that might mean something

Windows 10 64bit on AM3 platform everything fine with Paperwhite 2, Paperwhite 3 and PRS-T2. Did a lot of plugging in and unplugging when I jailbroke my PW3 last weekend. Calibre behaves like it always did.

Thanks, but the changes were already released publicly.

By now everyone running an up-to-date calibre has the changes.
(And a problem was then discovered, on Vista alone ).
