Hi Everyone, sorry for the very late reply.
I've tried the few methods which was recommended. The first method I tried was the email, that didn't work. I sent the mobi file to my kindle email address but I never received it in any of my devices. The second method I tried was using the send to kindle from PC app. This worked for my Ipad and my Android phone and I was able to sync my position between the 2 devices. However, I couldn't find the file on my Kindle devices (it's Kindle keyboard, I'm not sure which version it is. I bought it in late December 2010 or January 2011. I think it was the latest version at the time). When I clicked menu -> Sync & Check for Items, my Kindle comes up with "no new items" message. Does anybody know whether I've done something wrong or whether my Kindle might be too old? Thanks for the help everyone! Chris |

Did you look in the archives on the Kindle? Achived Items (unless they changed the name in a firmware update) are where books not currently on the device can be found and can be downloaded from.
As for the email not working, is the email you sent from whitelisted in your settings on Amazon? |

AnemicOak, you solved my problem!!!!! Thanks!
It was in the archived items, I didn't know that it was going to be put there. As for the email, Yeah, I whitelisted my email address already but I probably wouldn't use it too much anyway. As I have some books which are quite large in term of file size. |

Now that I could sync between Kindles apps/devices, I'm thinking of buying Kindle Voyage. My question is whether I could sync my position with the 3G version or do I always need to be connected to a WiFi. According to free 3G Amazon website, I should be able to use it in Indonesia, where I live.
Again, thanks for all the help. |
