I only saw the mini in a store, but have both of the other. The mini is very small. Much smaller than the others. Can't say anything about the screen unfortunately. The sony and the aura are nearly identical size wise, since the aura doesn't have buttons. Screen wise the sony has a very good display but it is unlighted. The aura screen is good. If you compare the aura and the sony unlighted, the sony wins. But that holds only true, if you have enough light from outside sources. In less than perfect light, the aura wins thanks to the frontlight. Compared to a paperwhite, the aura is not as black. That's the one complain I have with it. But it is still good and maybe only really recognizable in direct comparison. And 6" is more comfortable to read for me.
So I would say the mini, if size is all that matters and the aura for a mix between size, screen size and frontlight. |

Oh, and of course the glo hd could be nice for the better screen. I don't know it unfortunately, so I can't say, how much bigger it is than the aura (which is as far as i know the most compact 6" reader, since it has a very small bezel and a flat screen). But since you are comming from big readers and it is smaller than a kindle, you maybe would lime it. Is there a chance you just could see it live somewhere?

There is no real difference between Kobo devices around the world. There can be a difference in the version of the firmware available, but that depends on the affiliate the device uses and the affiliate is easy to change.

Looks like the Aura might be the perfect device actually. Does anyone have pictures showing how it sizes up against the mini?

Your mileage may vary. |

Good news!
I had a look at JbHiFi and was quite taken by the Glo HD in person. It's actually a really really nice size for me, the Aura is probably a better size, but I imagine the screen on the Glo HD might be hard to beat (I like it a lot more than even the screen on my Aura HD, it's pretty great!) |

I'm basically trying to downsize since I found the Aura HD to be a tad too large. My only other reader was a PRS-950 and well...that wasn't exactly pocket-able. I'm absolutely in love with the form factor of the Glo HD, it's wonderful!

The 950 was a bit heavy. Heavier than the H20. but if you do want to go smaller, the Glo HD is a good choice.
