Sorry you had to go through everything step by step again.
Actually I never noticed that it was CCs private folder, I just saw that it was in the Android/data folder and didn't want to put it there.

OK, at least I know that CC works as expected. And that folder is per user, not per machine, but that said I can't figure out how to add another user to my Fire.

You must have rooted your other devices to get CC to use other folders on the SD Card. You can do the same to your Fire 5.1.1 device with this tool. FWIW: it also can install Google Play services.

I always root my devices, but the HD 8 cannot be rooted. I bought it to read the free Prime books and because it was on sale for $20 off and I got another 25% off for using my credit card offer.

Not being rooted is a pain! Mine was using 1% per hour while not in use and it was being held awake. Without root I don't think there's a way to find out why. I wiped it and only installed a few apps but it was still using a lot of battery and being held awake. I wiped again and installed only GSAM battery monitor, and it's still using 0.7% battery per hour when not in use. I have it set to turn WiFi off when not in use, but WiFi and being held awake are what the majority of battery use is from.
