I doubt it. TOR released all their free books in several formats before they showed up at the Kindle store. If their intention was to go Kindle only, I don't think they would have done it that way.

Tor released these books free to get some of their authors some exposure.
Some of the books, like "Old Man's War", are fantastic, others are early works for the authors in question.

Most are either fantasy or sci-fi, however one "In the Midnight Hour" is a Fantasy/Romance and one of my friends who really like romance novels said it was very good and is looking in to getting the rest of that series (on a Sony 500 which she uses).

I figure best to just get them all when they are free and delete those that I do not like.
