Ahhhh ... so ..... jumping in sideways here. I've just created a second library for my audiobooks (each one inside a .ZIP file). This library has different data fields from my regular book library.
I created it on my work computer, and copied the new second Calibre-Library folder along with authors and metadata files onto a thumb drive. I'm gathering now that I need some configuration data too, separately. Sorry, I didn't read any FAQ (but I will if you point me to it). And also, I'm on a Mac. Anybody know offhand where the configuration data lives on a mac? edit: I haven't yet put any of this on my home computer. It's just on my thumb drive, so far. |

custom columns are part of the per-library metadata.
Settings are things like plugins, toolbar setup, conversion settings, "do you want to save copies of the OPF/cover during save-to-disk", things like that. The FAQ was linked in post #7, if you want to know where the configuration directory is. ![]() |

Ah. I think I'm okay then. I do have a plug-board for titles (on real ebooks) but that's already ON my home mac, plus, it doesn't apply to these audiobooks at all. I guess I'm only moving a new library, not my main configuration.
Thanks .. I'll go look at the FAQ too. |
