That link isn't reliable for me. When I checked that link before I placed my order:

It said I had $0 credits for ebooks, when I had $7
It doesn't say when they expire
There isn't any way to distinguish how many credits can be applied to publisher/non-publisher books?

Being able to add ebooks to my cart would be a big help (if they showed the application of credits in the final price).

Oh, I agree. The way Amazon displays credits to users is really bad. But at least this gives some indication.

FWIW, it seems as if credit value for "Kindle Editions" always is $0.00. However, the amount shown as video credit also is good for ebooks, while the MP3 credit combines the general digital credit with MP3-specific credit. I usually have an extra buck or two for MP3s that won't apply to ebooks.

Sometimes Amazon uses Kobo's playbook.

I saw that tonight too. I had two items in my cart, both Prime. At checkout the system automatically generated a shipping charge of about 22.00. I looked at the shipping choices and there was no listing for free two-day prime, and also no option for no-rush shipping. I tried clicking on the various available options and after I'd clicked the one for free (slow) shipping a screen came up and said something about choose or verify shipping options and then flipped me back to the screen with the choices -- at which point the normal options appeared, with the free two-day prime checked, and the shipping cost calculated at zero. The no-rush option also showed up, with the "undesirable" pantry credits.

I thought maybe I'd happened to be placing my order just when Amazon was in the process of changing the no-rush options but I guess it could have just been a random glitch. Fortunately I wasn't trying to order any kind of super deal/limited quantity sort of thing so I didn't have to think about accepting the shipping cost and trying to sort it out later.

I had the Prime issue as well. I had to add and remove an item from my cart several times, because the system kept alternating between correctly reflecting the Prime free shipping, and telling me that I didn't have Prime.

I also had an issue with a lightning deal yesterday. I had to go back and forth to see the deal price, and finally just used my wife's account to order to be safe.

Amazon has definitely been a little weird this week. Perhaps cyber week is causing a bit of an overload. Walking through my very large office's cube farm, I've seen more monitors on Amazon than on email or other business apps!
