There are plenty good horror stories in Public Domain, like Edgar Allen Poe and Lovecraft. And, if you would like them also Bram Stoker (Dracula) and Mary Shelley (Frankenstein).

Thanks for all the help so far!

I'm reading these horror stories to adults who are just learning English as a second language.

After searching Google I found this collection of "Horror Stories" but their English level is wayyyy too advanced for the people I'm reading these horror stories to. I just want a short horror story that's simple and scary.

These sound perfect for me, but I just want horror stories that are short and don't use too many "big words" that are difficult for a person learning English as a second language.
