Then the first advice you got, post in the formats forum, is the correct advice.

I do apologize for being annoying. I'm just very new at all of this and was hoping to get some clear answers. I don't know the lingo and it really is very difficult to read with my visual impairment. |

Just try another book that you have in epub format. Or deDRM book bought from Kindle Store that is in aw3 format, convert that to epub, change the title to someting like "Blabla bla", convert epub to "dual mobi" with choosing the font family to embed. Send that dual mobi file using approved email address to your PW2 mail address. See what gets downloaded to your PW2.
I've checked it again just now (I don't have my Kindle with me, but I can see in Pending Deliveries that it is waiting for it to deliver .azw3 file) and it works. This time I've even used Calibre to mail the files using my Gmail address. And I have downloaded that book to my Android phone. ![]() ![]() p.s I don't have any iOS devices registered to my Amazon account, just PW1, PW3 and Android Phone. EDIT: Blah, didn't read carefully and missed you stating that you have already tried couple of books. You could PM me the problematic book so that I can try it on my end, and I could send you file that worked for me just so you can check it on your end. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=168 That's where you find the folks that have all these e-boot formats memorized, the problems and the solutions. there is even a thread titled: "Publisher fonts option not shown when using send-to-Kindle" https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=259280 That might be a good place to start. ![]() Last edited by knc1; 11-02-2015 at 11:57 AM. |

I have a more modest version of the OP's problem: I can't read a book on the Voyage at a reasonable size in the standard fonts.
I solved it by making all the text bold and choosing Helvetica (which is quite dark). To accomplish this I use Calibre to convert the book to mobi (or convert the mobi "again"). Under preferences I selected "Common Options" and in the tab "Look and Feel" I typed the following into the "extra css" box * { font-weight: bold; !important} I hit "apply" and closed all. Now all the text is bold in all my books. Of course, this makes it impossible to tell which text was originally bold, but I find I can actually use my Voyage this way. |

With a Kobo, you can patch the firmware so you can use the Advanced Font Control with most side loaded TTF fonts. You can side load fonts and use Advanced Font Control to increase the weight of the fonts. This means that your bold stays bold as it also gets it's weight increased along with the regular, italic, and bold italic. Also with Kobo you get many many more font size options.
For those that have a need for larger fonts, the H2O at 6.8" gives more screen real estate plus, there is hyphenation with variable spacing between words so ePub are not going to have too many wide gaps. You don't need a different format to get hyphenation. With the patches, you can get a Kobo to allow you to specify font sizes of your choice. With an H2O, you can specify 50 different font sizes. |

I've been using the modified version of Deja Vu Serif Katsunami uploaded here a long time ago. It's quite a bit bolder than most serif types. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=224311 It might be helpful with FONT_RAMP as it is for me.
