You could try contacting the publisher.

You're wanting Magician? Kobo has it for the UK at a cost of £3.99...

I use my secondary Kobo account for non-US stuff and it has my US address. I just change the country and if required add a zip/postal code for the country I'm "traveling" to.

I just thought this might help, you can google any road name in the UK (make one up, see if it exists) and get an address but not sure what will happen if your payment card doesn't match. I know Kobo don't validate email addresses.

I'm not at risk (knock wood), but I'm just reinforcing your advice to download the books soonest.
My online e-book libraries/accounts are a mess. I've travelled with most of the accounts I have, and I even bought books in the same series in different countries... and sometimes different accounts as well. There are series for which I've bought books from different retailers in different countries. I don't actually know what's where, and I don't really care as I've got it all un-DRM-ed and offline and backed up.

BooksOnBoard and Diesel are both bankrupt. While I regret it because I've lost two retailers to buy books from, I don't care about losing the libraries there; thus I couldn't care less if Kobo or whomever had a huge crash and wiped the entire account.

- Buy DRM-Free or un-DRM.
- Download everything.
- Backup everything.

If one of those things is not possible for whatever reason, don't buy. I said it a thousand times and I'll keep saying it (even though some people think I'm paranoid. BoB and Diesel and many others proved I'm not.)

Use Paypal. I have a creditcard in Paypal, and it works with any Kobo account I've used it with.

This is what I do. I also use it to buy gift cards.

Safer would be to go to Kobo, which manifestly doesn't care, and format shift.
Its odd, I once had an Amazon CS agent tell me to do exactly this, change my address to the US to buy some books I wanted.

amazon.co.uk user transferring digtal account to amazon.com?

I read this thread a year or two ago, and assumed that the reverse was true, i.e. that amazon.co.uk users resident in UK could not purchase ebooks from amazon.com. However looking at "amazon.co.uk->my account->content and devices->settings->Click here to learn more about other Amazon sites you are eligible to shop on based on your country of residence" it appears to me that Amazon is offering me the option to buy **digital** content from amazon.com, but continue to purchase **physical** goods form amazon.co.uk.
So:
- have any other amazon.co.uk customers tried this, and if so have I understood the offer correctly and does it work?
- is it possible to do this and then later change one's mind and migrate back to amazon.co.uk for digital content without losing anything?
- are there any hidden drawbacks? I have been an Amazon customer for nearly 15 years now, and have bought 500-600 kindle books over that time. I know of maybe a dozen books, mostly SF, of which I would like to have kindle versions, and which are available from amazon.com but not from amazon.co.uk, but I wouldn't wish to lose access to my existing books just to add a small number of extra books.

Unless you're planning to mess around with entering a US address and stuff you're still going to be georestricted to books available for sale in the UK even if you're shopping at .com instead of .co.uk
