I was thinking to buy the Onyx i86 only for resolving the accuracy problems of the touch screen on my Onyx T68, even if the Onyx i86 has a screen too big for me, but if the touch screen works properly on the Onyx T68 Plus I could think to upgrade with it. What are your thoughts about it?
I think the capacitive touch screen on the T68+ is slightly better than the T68, but this is due to the updated firmware and not the hardware itself. I'm not sure if I can answer your questions about the different technology. Is there something you would like me to try on the T68+ so I can report back with results?

Cheers, Warren

Hi Warren. I've tested last firmwares on the T68 and I haven't noticed big improvements about the accuracy of the touch screen. I use now an old firmware (20141014) only because it refreshes better than last firmwares. As you can see in the video below the accuracy of the touch screen on the T68 is a problem and often very frustating. I love my device anyway. Given that I was thinking to buy a new device (T68+ or i86?) I don't want to live the same experience. What do you think about it? Thanks a lot for your kindness :-)

I've made a quick video of the touchscreen accuracy on my T68+. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/gCHFPQEa15Y Hopefully this will help you assess if it would be worth getting one.

I am happy with the accuracy that I get with my T68+.

Cheers, Warren

i'm thinking whether to get the t68+, or wait for the imx7 enabled 6.8" device.

goodereader has been touting the imx7 like it's the holy grail of eink readers. and it's supposed to be mass produced now (or very shortly), and used in voyage 2.

Warren, you're right. The touchscreen seems to work pretty good on T68+, for sure it works better than T68 . Thanks a lot the video!
