There was quite a bit of hullaballoo about this when the Paperwhite first came out, but not many complaints since.

Most likely early quality control issues that have long since been worked out.

OP said he meet 2 guys I thinking hes trying to save money buy Used. My advice Don't buy used any PW or ereader that doesn't look right to you. It will only waste more of your money.

Nope. The PW2 never had the same complaints.
And the PW3 has been out for some time by now -- also without those incessant complaints.


When I said "when the Paperwhite first came out", I really did mean the entire Paperwhite line, not just the PW1 -- if I'd meant the PW1 specifically, I would've said so.
