Didn't have a problem with buying book. And I bought them just after the website opened.

It was initially pretty challenging to buy the books. It was hard to get on the site and complete the transaction but that was because the site was overwhelmed. You also had to lie and say that you were British if you wanted the British versions.

I was in japan, and paying with a french credit card, and I don't remember any geo-restriction problems.

Maybe something to do with US. We can buy whatever version we chose.

People in the US had to work around some barriers to get the British version. We could only buy the US versions. It was pretty easy, I think you said it was a gift or something like that.
