If money is no object, then the answer is both.

An Amazon rep. has confirmed that a new Kindle model will be announced at the end of this month (final week of September).

I believe the new Kindle referred to is going to be the new $50 tablet since announcements have already been made and like the previous poster I don't believe Amazon is going to use it's customer service department to market a new e-reader.
On the subject of Paperwhite vs Voyage. I own a PW2 and a Voyage. I recently bought the Voyage after looking at the PW3. I think both are excellent readers and would be happy with either, but between the two, I do think the Voyage has a better contrast and I like the lighter weight and slightly smaller footprint. So, I have no regrets about spending extra for the Voyage. But the bottom line is, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. |

I have the voyage and it feel a bit slippery when trying to hold it with one hand. The PW3, with its indented screen, may give your thumb a little catch to hold on to and make holding it more secure.

I just answered this question in another thread, so I'll just post that answer here too.
It depends on whether you have pets. There's really only two main differences between them. 1.) The Paperwhite has a raised bezel, and the Voyage has no bezel (or rather, a bezel that's flush with the screen). 2.) The second difference is, the Voyage has page turn buttons on both sides for those who don't like tapping or swiping their screens. (invisible haptic buttons, not raised ones) I would've been content with my Paperwhite forever if it weren't for one problem. I have 6 cats and I was constantly finding cat fur wedged under the bezel. Don't ask me how all the fur in the house seemed to end up on my Kindle, but it was a real pain in the butt, and a terrible distraction from reading. Just the elimination of the bezel alone, and being FREED from the frustration of cat fur issues, was absolutely worth the extra $100 for me. The haptic page turn buttons were definitely icing on the cake, because I hated swiping my screen for every page turn. However, that feature alone wouldn't have made me upgrade. But the both together really enhanced my reading experience. That's really all that matters to me...my reading experience. ![]() |

Where I live it's gotten quite cold over the weekend. Standing at the train station at 6am today I was able to read on my Voyage with gloves on using the page press buttons to turn the pages. On any other ereader I couldn't have turned the pages with gloves on.

Oooh, that's an excellent point. I wonder why no one else ever mentioned that benefit before. Now I'm even more grateful that I have a Voyage.
