I tend to be fairly static in my own avatars, but I enjoy seeing what others do with theirs.

When I suggested galleries of avatars, I was actually hoping for some notes about the origins or context of each, but I thought it might be too intimidating to ask for all of that at once.

No, I'm good with pandas. In fact, I smile every time I see those pix. It was the ride in to work this morning with my seventeen-year-old daughter that did me in.

Advice needed: how does one teach one's child that bad behavior towards others (e.g. oneself) has negative consequences while still maintaining one's status as a paragon of infinite love and patience?

You ask the impossible! That said, my 30 year old daughter recently thanked me for spanking her when she was a child. Wonder if her part time job as a child care teacher had anything to do with that thanks?
