"pinch to adjust font size" bug is a very strange thing. I don't know what Kobo is trying to do. Probably they don't want us to buy Kobo ever again.
I'd do so indeed.
For now, in other hand, I stay with 12.1 firmware and things are fine. Don't think to upgrade soon.

Just in case it's any help... if you're using the Kobo Patcher for other useful tweaks, 'Disable pinch-to-zoom font resizing' is one of the options you can switch on in there.

Nope. Patch also didn't work for me.
