How sweet are you! If I had known Armadillos were this sweet I would have voted "yes" to an Armadillo becoming our High School Mascot. Most of us voted "no" because... well you don't really want to know.

That's one thing I always loved about UCI ... their mascot. When I was on crew, we always looked forward to beating UCI because their team shirts were the BEST.

(For those of you who don't know ... the mascot of UCI is the anteater ... and the team shirts of both the women's and men's crew (at least back in the 70s) was the BC Anteater with his tongue out and "ZOT.")

So, I think an armadillo would have been a great mascot. But then, I think we've established that I'm completely psychotic, so what I think changes depending on which personality happens to be in control at that exact moment.

No, this Kindle is going on more or less permanent loan to my dear friend and neighbor Mrs. Moon. Today is her birthday.

Her family will likely get her a Kindle for Christmas, but I want her to have one before then .... so this is perfect.
Oh to be the lucky Mrs. Moon, Does she need a somewhat youthful man to read from it for her??

No .... there are always good looking young men around that house. Her granddaughter is drop dead gorgeous, and everytime she comes home from college, she brings what seems like a herd of them along with her.

But, I really think that Mrs. Moon (called MaMaw by pretty much everyone) prefers to read to herself. And she loved my Kindle for the week or so that I loaned it to her.

He's good, but I'm not sure he's that good. But, that would certainly be an example of "method" acting. Would it not?

I think this thread will be close soon.

Closed?? Oh .... too bad, but yes, I guess it will.

I went by Mrs. Moon's house (to wish her a happy birthday). So, after that, I wandered into the main house to say hi to her son and daughter in law.

I explained to them that I had purchased another Kindle which was to be on permanent loan to Mrs. Moon. I also told them that, if they thought they would be getting her one for Christmas, then they should just register that one in their names, and then they could transfer that account to her new Kindle later on.

Otherwise, I would suggest that we leave it unregistered, because if she purchased any books under my account, I wouldn't be able to transfer them to her Kindle then.

I do wish there was some way to transfer book ownership from one Kindle to another. That's the only fly in the ointment. But, I think they will find it is the perfect items for her. She LOVES to read, and has already run out of room for the pbooks several times over.
