New Voyage coming in November _ rumour [FALSE] - Page 2

Hooray! While I'm definately glad they are making a Voyage 2 (and I'm definately going to buy it!) the Voyage 1 is only about a month old in Australia. I hope they don't pull that America-Only staggered initial release type stuff again, man that was a headache...

I have to agree with Eschwartz that Goodereader isn't a particularly reliable source. They tend to go off half-cocked a lot. Even when they do have things kind of right they often get them confused.

I read a number of their articles because they often put an interesting slant on things, but it's rarely something to take very seriously.

And yet, I hope they're right. I have a Voyage and I like it and if there's a newer/better model I'll probably get it and be glad I did. Nothing they said is implausible. Maybe they got this one right.

The Oracle of eschwartz predicts there will be a new Voyage. The same as there was a new Paperwhite (twice), the same way they came out with another baseline Kindle, etc. etc.

Whether it will be called a "Voyage" or receive its own name, the visions do not say.

There you go, I was at least as reliable as Goodereader, and what's more, I had just as many information sources!

I must admit it is quite funny indeed that a blogger can write a news piece with no sources whatsoever... that being said the line about how this ereader is going to be more like a tablet frightened me a bit - I don't want a tablet, I want an ereader!!!

Yeah, maybe it's not fair, but in general I don't care for Goodereader. They review so many devices on YouTube, which is nice. But often I feel like I may as well watch the video with the sound off.

Meh, I never really saw a distinction between any of those ereader blogs, bar The Digital Reader (I think?) who appears to be the only critic alive who notices two toned screens, scratched displays and bad build qualities (for which he gets absolutely decimated by fanboys in his comments). I believe he's a regular on MR, his name is Nate.

No idea why goodereader gets such hate here on MR though, they're pretty much just run of the mill reviewer-types? I think they got a bit overexcited by this voyage 2 'scoop' and jumped to conclusions too quickly (conclusions which I'm willing to venture are probably right anyway...)

Yeah, Nate is a great reviewer. He uses font sizes that most people actually use IRL and has colour neutral lighting in his studio. It's pretty apparent that he actually uses e-readers from the way he delves into various points.
