Please note that no eInk device has a backlight, for the very simple reason that eInk is opaque, so light cannot shine through it, as it can through an LCD screen. eInk devices have a frontlight.

I found the Glo HD to turn pages slowly. That was FW 3.15, and reading epubs. I hear kepubs are better. Maybe they fixed the FW by now.
