That's right. But the OP also wanted to read news feeds from blogs on his reader.

I like Inoreader a lot. They just introduced an IFTTT channel as well.

They added adds to the free tier this winter though, which is kind of irritating since they didn't use to have them. I just don't need a Rss reader enough for it to be worth the subscription fee.

Thanks for the tip on Pocket. I didn't really understand this feature before. Signed up for it and it works really well. I use Feedly already and sending single articles is a snap. But am going to check out Inoreader since it sounds like it has better Pocket integration.

I did also install Kobo Start Menu and KOReader. I haven't had too much time to play with it but I am glad this thing is hackable. There doesn't seem to be a totally seamless WiFi hack for just connecting to my PC as a library service of some kind, though there are lots of docs for connecting with unix command line tools. Lots to play with Thanks for all the tips here this is great.

With Koreader you can also connect to calibre as a device, wirelessly, and send selected books from calibre's library to your device. With this approach calibre will create its file structure on your device (again where you tell it).

You can wirelessly "pull" ebooks from calibre on your PC, to your device, from your device or wirelessly "push" ebooks to your wirelessly attached device, from within calibre. (I think just turning the calibre server on and then using the OPDS feature of Koreader on my device, is the easiest. I usually have calibre open, from processing a new book, anyway. )

As for "The Cloud" this is one way, just don't use a "Public" folder.

Luck;
Ken
Didn't know that. Thanks. Yet another reason for me to keep Koreader installed.
