Hey eureka
just to let you know. i tried to comment it out but it did not seem to work. when i am at home and have the time i will upload the emmc debug version of u-boot just in case somebody else qould like to see where their defective kindle stops working during the boot process cheers |

@chefchens i know this is a very old post...however I'm in a similar predicament, did you find out which heat shield the emmc was under?
