Pink means error; yellow means warning.
You may find that leaving target attributes in your <a> tags won't cause any issues, but if you're looking to publish somewhere where compliance is a prerequisite, you'll need to remove all "target='blahblahblah'" attributes/values from your links. ex: <a href="../Text/myhtml.html" target="_top" /> |

Hi DiapDealer, I was referring to the mentions in pink: attribute 'target' is not declared for element 'a'.
Well, I am a newbie and Dutch, don't know anything about attributes, targets, values, etc. It is Chinese for me (so I am now on the verge of throwing my e-book out of the window ![]() I might want to publish it, but most importantly I don't want my e-book to have any errors or causing other problems when people read it. I don't know what you mean with 'removing all "target='blahblahblah'" attributes/values from your links'? Could you specify exactly which code in the example (printscreen) I have to remove or adjust? |

But quite simply put... if you look (in Code View) for target="something", you can safely remove target="something" (whatever "something" happens to be). I think you're at a point where you're either going to need to accept the code that a WYSIWYG editor creates for you (errors, warnings, and all), or you're going to need to take the plunge and learn some html/css. Because if you don't know anything about html attributes/values/targets, you're severely hampering our ability to assist you (as willing as we are to try and do so ![]() Last edited by DiapDealer; 05-21-2015 at 08:48 AM. |

A quick reply, DiapDealer. When I search with 'target' I found target="_blank" in several sections. I removed the code and the error disappears.
Well, I know very little about it and the language difference doesn't make it easier for me. But I do understand that it makes it more difficult for you all to help me, so thanks for the effort! |
