I can imagine synchronisation with Outlook being better with WM - and I think it's simply because I don't need those features much (and I have a Mac at home anyway), that I like the Touch much more. Touch!

Also, I seemed to never be able to find a setting where my PDA responded with any kind of speed when I wanted to start up, or use an application It lagged constantly, 30-60 seconds most often - even at full 520 mHz. The Touch /iPhone interface just works, now, and not in a minute

Apple has licensed ActiveSync for the iPhone, to make it more attractive to corporate types whose email comes from an Exchange Server and it read in Outlook...

I prefer my Palm OS device for similar reasons. "Instant on", and how quick things happen is mostly matter of whether they reside in RAM or on a card. I keep the most-used stuff in RAM for fast access, but eevn from a card, things are fairly snappy.

Never could get ActiveSync to work with the PDA, perhaps it works better with iPhone/Touch...

I'm not the proper corporate type, tho

I wonder if MobilMe syncing supports the touch as it does the iPhone for synching Mail/Calendar/contacts.

Apple mentions both Touch and iPhone on their MobileMe site, so it appears it does. It's the same interface after all.

The only difference is that with the Iphone it will always update instantly. The Ipod touch has to be on a WIFI source.
