Well, I am used to printing to PDF (linux builtin PDF drivers FTW) and anyway it "fixes" the problem if not the feature.

Printing from computers has always been a PITA. I once suggested to Comp Sci colleagues that they offer a post grad doctorate in printers  Interesting blast from the past thread ==>> Print Not Working (nor print to PDF). BR |

I was a little surprised by the viewer's [Print] option being so different.
I like the ability to set paper size and margins right after the click since there's no/little chance of forgetting like in conversion to PDF. Conversion has option to add headers / footers which I like, but I have to remember to set some options: Page Setup margin in points, PDF output font size in pixels. In Preferences, the margins are in Common Options so I can't set them globally but have to remember to do it at conversion time The Font size and paper size are in the PDF part of Output Options and can be preset. Just requires experimenting to see how many pixels are needed I guess this is (almost) the best of both worlds Thanks Kovid!!! ![]() Last edited by phossler; 05-01-2015 at 04:55 PM. @BR: It does remember the last used directory, you just need to click the browse button to get it.

@Kovid - Yes, the browse button goes back to last selected location when you click it. So, if I click browse button and select Desktop then next time I click it, the location will be Desktop
But the default save text box always starts by offering %SystemDrive%\Users\{username}\{title}.pdf - irrespective of previous browse location. I never put files in my home directory (that fact that Windows does irritates me no end). It means I always have to hit the browse button ![]() If possible I'd like the default location to always be the most recently used - same as save to disk (S) does. In my case it would usually be Desktop. BR |
