An advanced rule can use the "user_categories()" template function to get a list of user categories that a book is in. For example, the advanced rule Code:
program: user_categories() |

I would like a rule that says if the story is in my "Favorite Author"-user category, use the following icon?
I thought since you can use search-terms on the user categories maybe they can be used in the Advanced rules for icons as well? |

The following advanced rule displays an icon on a column if the book is in the "foo bar" user category. You will need to adapt it to your columns and values. |
