sometimes you can just copy small binaries from the debian wheezy armel dist., at least for my Touch. I'm not sure about the K3.

There isn't room for the man pages anywhere else.

I tried find / | grep man, but the command didn't come up. Maybe it wasn't introduced into busybox until later, or maybe they removed the binary. I'm thinking It shouldn't be that hard to find or build a binary and put it in place on the kindle. Is the device ARM v7? Any compilation guides?

The K3? Unfortunately not. ARMv6j (1136-jfs, on a god-awfully ancient glibc [2.5? IIRC]).

Side-note: which/whereis/whence is your friend, that find command hurt my eyes ^^.
