Voyage - uneven lighting?

It took a while for me to notice the night light function. For example, when I first turn off the lights so that a room is totally dark, the setting is 8. After a while (not sure how long), it goes to 7, but I don't notice it unless I check because my eyes have adapted.

Now, if you have been in the dark for a while (like waking up and deciding to read) and turn on the kindle, it will be at 8, which will seem too bright because your eyes are already adapted.

Not perfect but then again, neither are we.
