Illegal things ? lol only in the bizarro world of "copy protection" could you lending something you bought and paid for to a friend or making a back up copy be deemed "illegal" hopefully the ebook producers will realize as the software and the music publishers finally did that this drm only serves to annoy the legitimate purchaser while doing nothing to stop the pirates its usually only a matter of hours b4 any newly published book ends up on any one of a thousand torrent sites or usenet or IRC with no drm

But you're not "lending it to a friend"; you're making an additional copy of the book and giving - not lending - the copy to your friend. Both you and your friend now have a copy of the book.

It's good you didn't. Much better coding practice to state your return value explicitly.

Besides, wasn't C's int return value undefined? At least back then?

OK, as you were.

I can't remember it being anything other than int?

E: Oops, misread. Yes, undefined.

It may have been undefined at the time -- that was many years ago...

As for explicit return... if it's defined by the standard, that's quite explicit in my mind. :-)
