Displaying text in a regular and automated way

LOL, after reading what I wrote it does sound kind off odd, I rather seem to have missed a few words to complete my thoughts.
What I meant is to replace the configurations on X, ditch whatever it's running by default, get that blank X11 screen and see what it will run.

Thanks for the advice on the KindleTool, will save some effort.

You will see that nearly everyone does the same at one time or another.
The thought is clear in the person's mind, but its description is lacking something in the posting.

In fact, be careful of replying to any of my posts too quickly.
I will sometimes edit it a half dozen times in the first ten minutes.
Anything of mine over an hour old is probable what I meant to type.
But, then again . . . .

So far, here's what I've found, as I work through it. Entirely just poking away to see what pops out the far end.

Built fim, static libraries, loaded it to kindle. It can't access the terminal.
Kill Xorg... it restarts itself.

Next steps:
-> edit upstart to knock Xorg offline, and then see if I can access the framebuffer
-> See if I can create an X app that will load within the windowing system that I can push too..

Getting a build environment working took a while...

Why re-invent the wheel?
First, review all of the work that geekmaster has done and described about the Kindle video system across most models.
Include in your reading gmplay (streaming video on the Kindle).

You are working in an area already very well researched and described.
Do yourself a favor and start with what already has been done.
