I didn't know that I must manually update the GPB.
I get "everyday" update-notices from so many (Google's) apps. Now I don't need any Mantano/Aldiko/Moon & co. anymore ...  Long live GPB ....! Especially for you .. thank you! ... |

for future reference, you can also upload your own books to GPB (as long as you have the proper rights, you know nothing stolen or illegal). if you like how GPB works and displays your books, and you like the ability to sync your own books across multiple devices, then this is a feature worth learning about.
