I chose the first option, which is closest for me. I do nearly all of my reading on one ereader. I use the others when I go on vacation, etc., and load up a few selected books.

I try to do my selection of what will go where by genre, but fail each time. So I end up having more or less the same books on my actual 3 readers (Voyage, H2O and fire HD), except for my study books which are almost exclusively on my voyage because the highlighting and notes works the best on that one.
I don't use tags for Genre (I use Shelves, a column I created, for that) but I use it for the destination of the books. Whether they will go on all 3, only one or two, or whether they are for someone else (kids, husband, grandparents). This way I have Series, Shelves and Tags, all containing different information, and so far that has been working for me. Should my already ample Library continue to grow, I will create Virtual Libraries. |

Glad to see there are a few as disorganised as I am.
I am working on it though. Having 4 T3's may seem excessive, but it has helped no end. As I said, I have mystery on one, fantasy on one and a mixtur4e on the older ones. Appreciate suggestions so far and will respond when my brain clears assuming it ever does. Keep them coming ![]() Helen |

I voted option not listed because if I already have the book on my old Sony 505, then I'll usually read it on that (with a book light), otherwise I use my Kindle Paperwhite2.

Each reader does something different:
Kindle keyboard - main ereader Nook glow - book club books or challenge books Kindle 6 inch - magazines + take along books (ones easily interrupted-this is the one I keep in my purse) Kindle HDX - whispersync + color dependent Nook HD+ - pdf (cookbook/craft book mostly). extra Kindle keyboard - backup takealong and lend Last edited by Tarana; 12-02-2014 at 03:05 PM. |

On my Kindle PW2 I mainly read English books because of the great dictionary integration. I have a few hundred books on it, but not my whole library. This, however, is the case with my tablet, which I hardly ever use for reading anymore, and my Pocketbook Touch Lux. I also use the PB for PDFs and books in my native language. I like having all my books with me at any time, in case I want to check something or read something again. It's a shame the Kindle doesn't have an microSD card slot.

I use multiple devices and all my books are on all my devices. I use Calibre and the Calibre companion to manage it all for me. I'll never put any drm invested book on my readers, so those get cleaned by Calibre (with the help of some apprentice).

I just tried to make it a little easier by getting a Kindle Fire. I have the Nook app and Scribd on it, so I can read Kindle, Nook, and Scribd books all on that one device. Drawback - not e-ink. But if my eyes get tired I can switch. It's really for when I'm going on a trip or something. I don't want to have to bring several devices to read on, and I want access to al those books. I don't read much on my iPad due to the size.
But I had to admit that my lack of organization makes it hard to remember what book is where and that kind of thing. |

and it does a lot to eliminate glare from indoor lighting. Doesn't do much for sunlight, but I just thought you might enjoy the option. It went on very cleanly with maybe 3 tiny bubbles on the edge that disappeared after a day. I was actually going to send this back (it is pretty heavy compared to eink readers), but the whispersync is so seamless and the Text-to-speech was fabulous. Since I'm losing vision, I use that TTS more often these days. Last edited by Tarana; 12-02-2014 at 03:11 PM. |

I have two Kindles and a Nexus 5 phone with the Kindle app. I have the same book on all three and whichever one I use to read syncs to the latest page read...most of the time.
Generally speaking, one Kindle stays home--my newest--my older Kindle goes out with me when I might be reading and my Nexus 5 is for when I get stranded without a Kindle. Last edited by patrickt; 12-02-2014 at 08:36 PM. |

I put all my book on both my Ipad and my Kobo reader and I randomly select to read on one or the other depending on the mood I guess as both work fine and both have their pros and cons.
