I added just 5 books between authors with and without series and a few PDFs and they're all sorted by LN FN and displayed as FN LN in all instances. I then added about 18 books in one series and they sort in correct numerical order as well. Perfect!

Simple, we split the author LN FN and send
LN title [series series#], FN

I think this may have been suggested before but it broke down hard with multiple authors.

You're right, it does weird things with multiple authors. It lists only one author even when there are two. And it lists that one author using the 1st author's LN and the 2nd author's FN. So "Douglas Preston & Mario Spezi" turns out as "Mario Preston" as the author. That's whether there's a series attached or not.

It does some weird things to single author names as well, but I'm not sure that's not just Kindle being weird, since when I delete the plugboards entirely, it still happens. It will sometimes attached the author name as part of the book, or it list the author name twice without a space between.

Maybe I should just give up on this idea and hope someone comes up with a jailbreak method for 5.6.1.
