Isn't a PRC just a "container" file? Meaning that it could have several different kinds of things in it (well, one at a time), and some DON'T work on a kindle? Yes, the ones designed for a kindle will work. But the old *.PRC files that I used to put on my Palm Pilot had to be run through a converter program before they would work on my kindle.

And as for sub foldering: I think you are saying that the kindle will ignore the sub folders and just display all the contents that are anywhere underneath the "Documents" folder, no matter if they are nested. BUT putting sub-folders that your PC or MAC can see makes it more organized for your brain. At least, that's what I do!

Yes, a PRC container can contain data in any format, but if its content is a Mobi book, then a Kindle will display it.

Yes, exactly that.

KoReader allows you to organize your books into folders and do what you appear to want.

You'll need to jailbreak your Kindle to install it, though. KoReader reads everything but Amazon's proprietary .mobi & .azw formats.
