From the CC and Lollipop thread:

You need to install 5.0 and then 5.0.1, but there are fairly simple directions for installing. EDIT: Incremental and full OTA links are in this guide: http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/be...inks-included/ Last edited by eschwartz; 12-17-2014 at 07:15 PM. |

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images The OTA update was also going to take me from 4.4 directly to 5.0.1, but my custom recovery (rooted) prevented it. Once I reverted back to the stock Android recovery, the 5.0.1 factory image worked flawlessly. There's no intermediate step required. Last edited by DiapDealer; 12-16-2014 at 08:07 PM. |

It claims to be an incremental update.
The download size is 17.5 MB. EDIT: Incremental and full OTA links are in this guide: http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/be...inks-included/ Last edited by eschwartz; 12-17-2014 at 07:15 PM. |

Are you talking about captured OTA update images that people upload to various sites? EDIT: Never mind. I see from your links that those are captured OTA update images that people pull off their devices and make available. You may very well have to do it incrementally that way. Not my cuppa when the factory image is available. But I understand the temptation to find a way to do an in-place, manual update without a factory reset. I find hard resets very soothing myself. It's like getting a brand-new device back. ![]() Last edited by DiapDealer; 12-16-2014 at 08:54 PM. |

Yes, captured OTA links -- which are easier to use on account of you don't have to wipe your phone to use them.
![]() Also, it's handy to download less. ![]() "ota" is in the article link name. Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi razor EDIT: Incremental and full OTA links are in this guide: http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/be...inks-included/ Last edited by eschwartz; 12-17-2014 at 07:16 PM. |

If you dont want to wait anymore I would recommend using Nexus Root Toolkit. You don't even need to root just install the app enter you details. Launch advance utilities and press the sideload update it will download and install the update for you.
