Collection name is the same. How do I keep it.

I also get a delay when I press done with the PW2, it's not the indexing on the device that causes the delay its the 'checking' in with the cloud that takes the time as its trying to ensure that any changes you make to your collections are immediately reflected in the cloud. The idea is that you can make a change on your Kindle then sync on a device with a Kindle app (for example) and the charges you just make on the kindle are reflected on the app within minutes.

I guess the delay could be the wifi connection or how busy the Cloud Server is.
It's anoying that its not instantaneous I know that much.

I agree that delay is very annoying. I like to make my changes on the pw because it easily shows me any books that are not in any collections as well as it gives you the option to select multiple books as once. I do not have an ipad but I wish the others did that because I would rather use any of the other devices just to avoid the delays in the syncing. And for me I tend to make changes to at least 5 books minimum so I often have to wait for it to update all of my changes.

I made the decision not to use collections when Amazon went to cloud based collections. I wish there was an option to use "device only" collections. Maybe some day we'll be offered a choice whether we a collection in the cloud or only on the device.

I wonder if I should do collections changes (to 4-5 books at most) while the kindle is offline, as mentioned above. They would probably FEEL faster (ie the DONE button would actually activate when I touch it, rather than 5 seconds later). And I wouldn't notice the time taken to sync, if it were doing it while I was reading a book. Nyn, I'll have to test that a bit!

LOL, I wouldn't do that, offline collections take longer for it to "save". I find it is easier on my piece of mind when I do it while watching tv. That way I am not so annoyed with the delays.

But the good news is once you get the bulk of your collections completed, the maintenance for new changes should be fairly painless.
