I don't know, but you might check with the good folks at XDA Developers. They have a Fire TV Forum that might have the answer.

BombSquad has a remote app, yeah. There's both an Android and iOS version since the game is on various platforms.

I know on iOS some developers use a controller app SDK, but I'm not sure about Android.

Amazon is currently running another one of their free app promos. This one has 40 apps valued at over $115 and expires Sat 01 Nov. The thread and promo link can be found here.

Some of these apps are compatible with the Fire TV. Which ones, I have no idea. To find out, you'll need to separately enter each one of the free apps in the search bar for Fire TV Apps.

Plex, a highly rated media server, is one of the free apps.

edit: or as Jessica pointed out, the sidebar 'refine by device type' works even better

I'm still unclear on what all the Stick does, but for $19 I had to try it. If it can put Prime videos on my TV I'll be happy.

Est delivery date is Dec.16. I'm sure I'll forget all about it, then be surprised when it shows up some day.

I didn't even know about the $19 sale, so I missed out. I hadn't even thought about it, since I can stream Prime and Netflix with my XBox, but now my mother has discovered it, too (during current visit) she wants the ability to watch streaming on television

I'm unclear as to the advantage of a full Fire TV unit for $99 versus just getting the Fire TV Stick for less. Both accomplish the same thing, right?
