The Kobo Desktop application runs under Windows or Mac OSX. There are Kobo reading apps for iOS and Android but that's a fish of a different colour.

Thought I posted this but it's not showing on my forum page so apologies if this is a repeat.

Thanks for the clarification as I thought there was only an app. I downloaded Kobo desktop on my Mac (is it available for the iPad or only the app?). The text is black, although not quite as saturated as I would expect but not gray. I'm hoping to get over the bumps with the device and be able to comfortably read it.

The forum is a great resource and I really appreciate all the help and support!!
