Amazon Black Friday Deals

01 Nov - 12am --> Countdown to Black Friday --> details
23 Nov - 12am --> Black Friday Deals
30 Nov - 12am --> Cyber Monday Deals

Amazon ran two major sales last Black Friday; expect a repeat this year --Black Friday Deals and Cyber Monday Deals. These were Lightning Deals and some of the items sold out fast; sometimes in a matter of seconds. You really don't have time to think about it.

Amazon Prime & Prime Early Access

Don't forget, Amazon Prime members have a new perk -- Prime Early Access -- which allows members a 30-minute early access to select Lightning Deals and daily sales events at MyHabit; and that includes Black Friday deals. This will effectively eliminate non-Prime members from the shopping pool on certain sale items.

For those of you who aren't Prime members, Amazon offers a 30-day free trial. This trial is only for those who have never had Prime before. If you've had Prime before, the sign-up will reject you. You might be able to get customer service to allow you another 30-day trial, but that's definitely a YMMV type of thing. Full membership is $99 per year.

My advice is to wait before starting your 30-day trial until after 07 Nov. The reason for that is Cyber Monday. Last year's best Lightning Deals were during CM week. If that holds true this year, CM should run from 30 Nov to 06 Dec.

Sorry, I don't remember; so I checked a few blogs about the sale. I found one person who was able to purchase two Fires. If I remember correctly, the Fire HD sold out the first day.

The reason why I think they will be on sale is that the two 7" Fires they had on sale last year were the newest versions and not from the previous year.
