If it weren't for cargo-pants/shorts, I'd have no pants at all.

I've been wearing Scott e-vests for several years now. ( http://www.scottevest.com/ ) They have models that are light weight enough for a Georgia summer, plus various shirts, pants and jackets with plenty of pockets. I have a light weight vest I wear in the summer and a heavier one (with even more pockets) for when it gets below 80.

Though my smallish smart phone typically lives in any front pocket, LL Bean tropical weight cargo pants and similar have been my summer solution for tablets, readers and other gadgetry.
I do have a Scott e-vest jacket, and while it's well made, and I love the idea, I never got in the habit. It lives in my wife's car as a spare jacket, with mostly empty pockets.

Phone goes in left front pocket, keys, change and knife in right front, wallet in right hip pocket and money in left hip pocket. No problems here!

I think that an e-reader with a 5" e-ink screen could be made that would fit in a shirt pocket. I would certainly be interested in buying one.

Same here. Something about the size of a Galaxy Player 5 would be great.

I am similar - I have found the best solution is a smallish cross-body purse or bag. The key is to find one with a wide strap, so once the bag gets a bit heavy (usually because of an accumulation of coins) the strap wont dig in to your shoulder as much. I am out and about a lot so like to keep phone, cards, cash etc on me all the time.

Husband uses a phone case that either clips on or threads through his belt. He has tried (and broken) a range of them. Have yet to find the perfect case, or bag, for that matter.

Yes, I've even swapped the straps for a wider one if needed. My purse used to get very heavy from all the coins too and what I do now for the rare times I pay cash, I stuff the coins in my jeans pocket. When I get home they get tossed in an old dish on my dresser that was my grandmother's that she used for coins. When I get enough, I exchange them at one of the coin machines that are now everywhere and just get a card to use at the grocery store. My wallet filled with coins was always the heaviest thing in my purse, now I don't even carry a wallet, the really small purses have slots for cards and zippered area for cash.

I have a big hobo bag that I keep with me that has my reader and other larger things, and in that is a large wallet with a strap, similar to this: https://www.mythirtyone.com/shop/pro...aspx?prod=4711 that holds my money, ID, keys, credit cards and phone. I usually leave the hobo in the car and just wear the wallet cross-body when I'm in a store or somewhere I'll be walking a lot. If I do go somewhere where I'll be walking a lot and may need my reader (if I'm going to be waiting in lines or just...waiting) I throw the wallet in the hobo bag and carry that cross body.
