Is someone in the alpha program using a device running Gingerbread (perhaps a Nexus S)? We got a crash report for 3.4.4e from a gingerbread device.

Given that we no longer have such a device, it would be nice to know who does.

1. When I have any of the top level groups (Title, Authors, Series, Tags, etc) selected and I scroll down the page to a book and tap it to see the book details all is fine until I hit the back button and instead of returning to my spot I end up at the beginning of the list. This happens in cover grid or book list modes. This does not happen at any of the sub levels like level T for tags, author etc.

2. Flinging down the list in Cover grid works great but flinging down the the normal book list crawls to the point of being useless.

3. I find it easy to touch the scroll bar in the cover grid and end up a distance from where I started without it being my intention. This is really obvious when I touch the scroll and decide to fling up to get back to where I think I am and the fling instantly locates me somewhere unexpected.

I'm not sure the scroll bar adds much value in the cover grid.

Sent debug log in case it could be of assistance.

Thanks. This one has been there for a long time.

Having trouble with this one. Are you saying that flings have become slower, or that dragging the scroller is slow?

I can't detect any fling speed difference between V3.4.4 and V3.4.4e (N7 2012, 1200 books on the device), so I am not sure where I should be looking.

I assume you are testing the scroller "always on" and that the problem goes away if you turn it off. True?

I hadn't realized that when it is always on, tapping in the empty section of the scroll bar moves the list so that the thumb ends up where you tapped. I am sure that this feature will be loved or hated with few neutrals. Glad it can be turned off.

This is what I have always hated about the scroll bar. In Moon+ I am always touching it in the TOC in my newsfeed and losing my place. I was going to turn it off here, but decided to try the lefty position. That's perfect! I have the utility without touching it accidentally.

Edit: it's not when always on for me. I have always on unchecked and still when I tap where the scroll would be, it moves the thumb to where I tapped.

That is so funny. I just came her to post that I had turned off lefty mode because I kept hitting the bad by accident.

My issue is that since I turned off lefty mode it never shows up in the grouping drawer even if I set it to always show it.

I have over 10000 books (N7 2013) and the flinging is choppy in the book list where the cover grid is very smooth and fast. But it has been eons since I used the book list so what I see may be the norm.

No I had not checked that option. Once I checked that option it worked great, exactly as I would expect without accidentally ending up somewhere I didn't intend. Don't get me wrong it still jumps to wherever I click but it is expected and flinging afterward goes smooth from exactly where I was without any jumps or surprises.

Once I turned it on I liked the feature.

The book list uses a different scheme for covers than the grid. Its advantage is that the covers fill in while the list is moving, where the cover grid fills in the currently visible covers when the grid stops moving. Its disadvantage is that covers we don't need are filled in, wasting CPU.

I have been thinking about changing the list view to use the other scheme. Now is as good a time as any.
