Ok, I want the Aura with the 300 dpi screen of the Voyage.
No page press, no light sensor, glass screen not necessary, and NO ridiculous price. The same device, with the new screen. I think they can do it! But not til spring, since Amazon is taking all the screens right now. I think that screen would fix the clarity issues I have on the current Aura. Attn Kobo - same price as the existing Aura, please. |

I'd definitely be interested in that (same price but improved screen), although I am perfectly happy with my PW2 and don't plan on upgrading right now, who knows how I'd feel by Spring of next year.
![]() However, I don't think its as simple as the new, higher resolution screen being a fix for the clarity of the Aura. Its more down to Kobo improving their capacitive touch screen. |

I'm sure Kobo can do whatever it is the Rainbow Voyage did (IR?) and solve that problem.

That's a point, the flush screen clearly makes it harder again to get the screen/lighting combo right on the capacitive ereaders. The PW1 launch was a mess, it did improve but really Amazon only fixed with it the PW2, but now with the flush screen of the Voyage, they are back to having issues. So like I say, this is why a second attempt at the Aura interests me, because it'll hopefully bring an improvement the same way Amazon did with the PW. Unless Kobo decide to do something completely different with their next 6" reader?

Here is my challenge.
I think next Kobo 6" reader should be bullet proof. ![]() |
