I suspect if they had had the TV store the login (which wasn't done according to the most recent post), they wouldn't have had to re-enter their username and password.

The Roku would do the same thing if you hadn't saved your login. Pretty much every set-top device I can think of shows what letter/number you typed with the remote for a second before hiding it. Not an Amazon issue, it's how these boxes & smart TV's work.

IIRC, the Roku channel uses a reverse activation rather than username / password login. You activate / authorize the channel on Roku from the Amazon site using a device ID.

My bad. Must have been thinking about my blu-ray player or Boxee. I know Vudu on my Roku was just username & pw as were many other channels. I think Netflix was an activation code too IIRC.

I know one of my devices used a code for Netflix, maybe it was the Wii. Amazon on my Blu-Ray player is an email/pw I just checked.

lol yeah I know what you mean. The Wii is device code as that's how we found NetFlix then upgraded to a Roku. It seems when the firmware updates the app we have to reauthorize that app each time on the Roku.

This is amazin if you have more than one Kindle in the family.
I hope there's a option to not share "sensitive" books with the children |
