I'd say .mobi books sideloaded into my two kindle get sync without sending to Kindle Cloud, but why do you have to sideload. I really want to thank Amazon because of Whispersync, although support only .mobi. I have never tried dual mobi but old mobi is good enough for me.

Exactly. For me, that is the reason I bought my first Kindle in 2007, and that is the reason why I still own Kindles and buy from Amazon. (I also like their selection and customer service, but Whispersync is WAY up there for reasons why I continue to buy from them)

I have the same thought. I really love the Amazon CSAs, they are always helpful and patient.
