Yes, that is how I understood it. (I could be wrong, as I don't actually use the News feature and have not actually tested it and watched it work.)

Thanks again, but I don't believe it's true as "Extra tags" is a property of every item in the "Fetch News" list. So It can't relate only to Pocket
Reading more, it seems like it adds tags to the news you download.
Any other suggestions?

You need to customize the recipe, not use the advanced tab. You customize recipes by right clicking the fetch news button and choosing

Add a custom news source->Customize builtin recipe
