Carmichael is a Medallion Press author, and we've previously received two official freebies written by her from them, although one of them was a romantic comedy. In this Southern short story, a valuable necklace disappears, and Ashley Sands, owner of the Skullduggery Inn, must discover who-dun-it or the fundraiser to build a no-kill animal shelter will be terminated. |

This is listed as a culinary cozy in the Amazon categories. Grace/Culver is a Harlequin author under the Grace name and a Llewellyn/Midnight Ink author under Culver. The 1st in this series was apparently also released as a Kindle serial under Amazon's own exclusive Thomas & Mercer imprint, under the title Shop Til You Drop… Dead. San Francisco personal shopper Cory Sutherland has moved to a new apartment with a view of the Bay to get away from the scene of the murder she solved. But for Cory there's no escaping the past. This time it's her cousin who's accused of killing socially prominent Ted Waters. Cory has to get her cousin off the most-wanted list while she juggles the two macho men in her life - one is her ex, the other a to-die-for detective.
